(®andom Mommy) asked:

My son’s secret santa (he has to give the present) to a girl named Sara- what is a better gift for her? I would like to do something traditional like a doll or book, help!

NOT a Barbie; those things are bad role models for little 5 year olds. Get her another kind of doll, like a baby doll or an American Girl doll or something like that. A book would be too boring a present for a 5 year old…hope this helps!

      A book.

At aged 5, she’s too young to worry about body image, clothes, fad things, etc. All those things that Barbie (and Bratz) represents.
