frankhenrikson asked:

My daughters have a ton of Barbies and Bratz dolls that have seen their share of baths and the outdoors. Their hair is no longer smooth and easy to comb, but kind of a tangled mess. Does anyone know of a product that will restore their hair. I’d rather try this than throw them away because the hair is unmanageable. I’ve tried a little conditioner but it just makes the hair oily and matts it further. Does their manufacturer market anything for this problem?

There’s a boiling method for restyling Barbie’s hair. It may work if you can manage to control the tangles somewhat.

I’ve been told that liquid fabric softener helps– in small amounts. I tried that on one of my antique dolls’ hair — very cautiously — and it seemed to work very well.
